Peer Review Process

Minang Mathematics Journal (MMJ) uses a double-blind peer review process, where the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

All submitted manuscripts are first checked by the editor to ensure that they are suitable for the journal's scope and meet the basic submission requirements.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty;
  • Mathematical accuracy;
  • Research methodology;
  • Quality of results and discussion;
  • Relevance of references; and
  • Overall contribution to mathematics.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor may decide to accept, request minor revision, request major revision, or reject the manuscript.

The final decision is made by the editor based on the reviewers' comments and the quality of the manuscript. All reviewers are required to maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and academic integrity throughout the review process.
