Correction and Retraction

Minang Chemistry Journal (MCJ) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the published scholarly record. When errors are identified after publication, the journal may issue a Correction, Retraction, or other appropriate editorial notice , depending on the nature and severity of the issue.

Corrections are issued for errors that affect the accuracy or clarity of a published article but do not invalidate its overall findings or conclusions. Correction notices clearly identify the affected article and describe the necessary amendments.

Retraction may be issued when an article is found to contain seriously unreliable findings, substantial plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, duplicate publication, serious research or publication misconduct, major errors that invalidate the conclusions, or other circumstances that significantly compromise the integrity of the research.

Retracted articles will normally remain available on the Minang Chemistry Journal website and will be clearly marked “RETRACTED” , with a prominent link to the retraction notice. The article's DOI and publication record will normally be maintained to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.

Authors, readers, and other members of the academic community may report suspected errors or ethical concerns to the editorial office. All credible concerns will be evaluated fairly and confidentially.

The final decision regarding corrections and retractions is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the available evidence, scientific standards, and the journal's Publication Ethics policy.
